Replacement of implants with LICAP flaps and fat graft
This delightful middle-aged lady was displeased with her reconstructive result with implants after bilateral mastectomy. She desired a type reconstruction using her own tissues and no implant. She also was not keen on undergoing a large operation with long recovery time. Therefore, an outpatient procedure was offered consisting of removal of bilateral breast implants with their replacement using flaps from the lateral chest wall fullness areas (LICAP flap, Lateral InterCostal Artery Perforator flap) and fat grafting. She required one more fat grafting procedure to achieve symmetry. She is very pleased with her result.
