Eighteen years after bilateral breast augmentation with saline implants, this middle-aged lady complained about increasing discomfort in her right breast with the implant implant migrating under her armpit. She actually described that the pain was similar to the pain she had experienced when she had a heart attack. After a cardiology evaluation, she found out that it was the implants that were causing the pain. She desired to undergo implant replacement with her own tissue and benefit from liposuction at the same time. She underwent a breast lift and removal of bilateral implants with volume replacement using her own fat derived from liposuction. She is quite pleased with her results. She has not had any breast pain since her surgery!
