Procedure: Tissue Transfer Using Fat Grafts

immediate reconstruction using bilateral latissimus dorsi and tissue expanders. Unfortunately, her post-operative course was complicated by infection of the right breast tissue expander with subsequent loss of the implant. Due to the prior history of infection, Dr. Timek decided to perform right breast reconstruction with using fat grafting techniques. The patient underwent three sessions of fat grafting to the left breast and exchange of the left tissue expander for permanent implant. The photographs depict the patient’s result 10 months after the last procedure.
