Procedure: Baby-sitter tissue expander and DIEP flap
This 56 year-old lady was diagnosed with right breast cancer. She was offered bilateral mastectomy with immediate tissue expander placement. Due to the preexisting shagginess of her breasts, bilateral breast lift was performed at the same time. After 4 months, the tissue expanders were replaced with bilateral Deep Inferior Artery Perforator (DIEP) flaps. Four moth following the free tissue transfer, fat grafting was performed removing fat form the areas she did not desire that fat to be and transferred to the breast again. The picture shows her result after one year.
