Procedure: Forehead Lift
This young woman was displeased with the low position of her brows. She also noted that she had a tendency to hit her head on the upper cabinets while working in the kitchen. After investigating the potential options on the internet, she was afraid of scarring that a brow lift would create on her face. The patient was offered an endoscopic brow lift. In this minimally-invasive procedure small incisions are made within the hair-baring area of the scalp to serve as access points for endoscopes. The surgery releases the tight band above the brows holding the brows in low position. The forehead is allowed to elevate to its natural higher level where it gets secured. The applied fixation and healing between the forehead skin and bone holds the brows in naturally high position. The photograph shows her appearance at 6 months.
