Procedure: Fat grafting

This 30-year old gentleman was very conscious about post-acne scars on his temple. As a teenager, he suffered from a “stubborn” form of acne that persisted despite various regimens of acne treatment. As an adult, he underwent several sessions of skin pen microneedling (without use of radiofrequency like in Microneedling Radiofrequency) at another institution which have not been successful. at Advanced Plastic Surgery he was offered nanofat grafting procedure transferring 10 ml of fat graft from his abdomen under mild sedation. Nanofat grafting was coupled with subcission, which is a form of scar management hen the scar gets released using the bevel of a needle without additional scarring. The released areas were filled with transferred fat. The pictures show his result after 3 month. Note greatly improved texture of the affected area.
