Procedure: Breast Reduction

This 67-year old patient presented with a complaint of large and heavy breasts. Her bra size was 40G. She stated that her breasts became unbearably uncomfortable at the age of 59. Due to the discomfort in her upper back caused by the heaviness of her breasts, the patient was worried that she was developing a bad posture. She also felt fatigued when talking rather short walks with her family. Her desired bra size was 36 BB. She underwent reduction of her breasts removing approximately 1.5 pounds from either of her breasts. She is currently symptom free and able to take longer distance walks.
